Lorraine Banks

She married Dean Banks on August 25, 1973, and they shared 43 years together before his passing. Lorraine spent most of her career in banking, working at East Lansing State Bank, serving as an Okemos Branch Manager, and later working for Bank of America in Melbourne, FL. After retiring and returning to Michigan, she continued to stay active by working at Macy’s in Okemos.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lehman of Haslett and Nancy Creed of Haslett; her son, Dean (Mindy) Banks, Jr. of Grand Ledge; and her grandchildren: John Lehman of Parchment, Steven (Nancy) Lehman of Haslett, Meghan Banks Suty of Dewitt, Haley (Kyle) Banks Pett of Holland, Nathan Banks of Denver, CO, and Grace (Xerxes Sanii) Banks of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Sandy (Don) Farnum; brother-in-law Gregg (Brenda) Denton; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Banks, Sr.; her daughter, Lynn Mask; her son, Bruce Banks; her sister, Evelyn Kitchen; her son-in-law, Gary Lehman; her niece, Susan Leary; and her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Gorsline Runciman East Lansing Chapel on 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823.
