Passed away September 5, 2016 at the age of 83. Lyle was born July 15, 1933 in Ithaca, MI to Leonard and Verna (Sellon) Johnson. Lyle was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School in 1952. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Dorothy Henrietta Bishop December 14, 1957.
He was very dependable, a hard worker, big tease and was of the old school and to the point. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Deborah Johnson; brother, Harold Johnson; sisters, Linda Kloepfer and Cheryl Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memory Gardens, 2400 Bennett Road, Okemos, MI.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in memory of Lyle to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60601.
