Margaret Evelyn Rhodes Foster

Born November 1, 1925 to Charles and Mary Rhodes passed away, February 14, 2011 at the age of 85. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a foster mom for several years caring for over 100 children in her home. Margaret was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; and her son Freddie. She is survived by her children, Mary (Jon Briggs) Mabie of Webberville, Bob Foster of Chattanooga, TN, Denny (Karen) Foster of Newport, NC and Harold (Sherry) Foster of St. Johns; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Freddie (Carol) Rhodes of Ft. Oglethorp, GA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, at Noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing with Jim Gothup and Bob Stampfly officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
