Maria was hardworking, strong, and adventurous throughout her life. She dedicated 25 years of service to the Fisher Body Division of General Motors, a testament to her steady commitment and work ethic.
Family was at the center of Maria's life. She was part of a big extended family, and her door was always open—especially to the neighborhood kids who found welcome, warmth, and a place to belong in her home.
She embraced life with energy and spirit. She loved to dance—no matter what music was playing, she would dance. She enjoyed hiking and walking trails, and she was very adventurous, finding joy in the outdoors and in working in her yard. She also loved racing, especially her 1972 Nova.
Maria was the beloved mother of Ted Jr. (Karlene) Liserio, Susan (Ned) Baker, and Tim Liserio Sr. She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher Liserio, Crystal Trevino, the late Juan Trevino, Timmy Liserio Jr., Jessica (Tyler) Shufflin, Nina Liserio, and Justin Liserio. She was the proud great-grandmother of Isaiah Trevino, Marley Liserio, Theo Shufflin, Sutton Shufflin, Ivy Shufflin. After some time apart, Maria reconnected with her sister, Julia Cervantes, and she is also remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
