Marjorie (Sillers) Crossman, age 87, is now at peace in the arms of her creator. She died on August 21, 2018, after a courageous battle with multiple health issues. Marjorie was born on June 28, 1931 in Providence, Rhode Island, the only daughter of Harry and Ethel Ackroyd, and she lived for many years in Satellite Beach, Florida, where she taught countless schoolchildren for more than 25 years.
Marjorie was blessed with a loving family and a devoted faith community, all of whom will dearly miss her spunk, humor, wisdom, and steadfast love.
She is survived by her children Christine Davidson (Dan), Ann Sherman, Matthew Sillers (Bianca), (William Sillers, III, deceased (Sue)); and her seven grandchildren—Elizabeth Sherman, Catherine Sherman, Brandon Clark, Michael Davidson, Mary Sherman, Isabella Sillers, and Andrew Sillers.
The funeral will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 North Highway A1A, Indialantic, Florida, 32903.
Marjorie was a great supporter of many causes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota, your local humane society or food bank; or Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, East Lansing, Michigan.
