Born May 1, 1924 in Harbor Beach, MI, the daughter of the late Carl and Phoebe Mizener, passed away March 6, 2013 at the age of 88. She graduated from MSU and retired from MSU after many years of service. Marjorie served as an escort at Sparrow Hospital and was coordinator of Docent Guild for Michigan Historical Museum. She was also an active member of Lansing Women’s Club; Alpha Xi Delta Sorority; MSU Alumni Association; and Eastminister Presbyterian Church. Marjorie was an avid reader and loved to travel. Preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Joshua Ickes. Surviving to cherish her memory are her brother, David (Laura) Mizener of Texas; children, Marsha (John) Boyer of Lansing, Mark (Jan) Curtis of Charlotte, Amy Curtis of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Cory (Jeff Ingersoll) Curtis of Lansing; grandchildren, Aaron (Stacy) Ginsburg, Rachel (Chris) Egelhof, Stacy, Kevin, Melissa Curtis; four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1315 Abbot Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823.
