Marvin Wardell passed away on November 15, 2011, at the age of 71. He was born on March 6, 1940 in Detroit to Gerald and Dorothy Wardell.
Marvin was a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Business. He began an admirable career in technology working at IBM. This eventually led to the development of his own technology service company, Meridian Systems which Marv operated for many years.
Marvin was a long time member and officer of the Jug and Mug Ski Club and a member of Hearth and Hill. He was a Lansing VW enthusiast who enjoyed researching and treasure hunting for car parts, and restoring multiple vintage VW Bugs. Marv was an avid learner throughout his life, always seeking information to answer questions, solve problems, and enhance the quality of life for his family and anyone else who expressed a need.
Marvin is survived by Constance, his wife of 33 years; his daughter, Elizabeth (John) Ross; grandchildren, Katelin and Dylan Ross; and brother, Gerald Russell (Sally Fay) Wardell. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.
