Mary A. Thaden

East Lansing

Mary was 79 when she died on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Eaton Community Hospice. She

was born in Flint, Michigan on September 6, 1931.

Mary is survived by her children, David, (Barbara), Jim, (Jami), Tom, (Cindy), Jane and Anne.

She is also survived by the grandchildren she loved very much, Kennett, Michael, Mackenzie,

Matthew, Garrett, Alex, and Jonathan.

In addition to taking care of many different homes, Mary served the educational community for

over 30 years by serving as a member and chair of both the East Lansing School Board and the

Ingham Intermediate School Board. Her strong belief that all the children in the Ingham

community deserved the best possible education guided all her education decisions.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 1st from 9-10 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman

Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. Funeral services will be

held at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.
