Maryanne went home peacefully on December 23, 2025, after bravely battling Alzheimer’s disease. She was born to Arthur and Marguerite Marquis in Greenville, Michigan, their third child and only daughter. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1975 where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed a French Club trip to France. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1979.
She met her husband, David, of 45 years during a MSU homecoming celebration in the fall of 1979. Maryanne and David married on January 3, 1981, and immediately moved to Paris, Tennessee, for a quick stint. They then returned to Michigan, living in Owosso, then relocating to Plymouth. She worked as an accountant for several Michigan small businesses, ending her career at MSU.
Their family grew with two children, Jackie and Danny, and they relocated to Okemos in 1987. Maryanne was actively involved and supportive of her kids' lives, shuttling them back and forth from practices, games, and recitals. She served as “cookie mom” for Jackie’s girl scout troop and brought back her cheerleading skills during many of Danny’s hockey, soccer, and baseball games. She was an excellent hostess, welcoming family and friends for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. Her chocolate chip cookies were a thing of greatness.
Maryanne enjoyed traveling with her family on many trips Up North, as well as to Chicago, California, Walt Disney World, England, Hawaii, and Yellowstone National Park. She loved shopping, particularly bargain hunting, golf, swimming, and pilates. She also loved dogs, even starting her own dog walking business later in life.
Maryanne was elated to become a grandmother and enjoyed snuggling her four grandchildren and looking at pictures of them when they were far away.
Maryanne is survived by her devoted husband, David; brothers, Arthur and David and their families; daughter, Jackie (Mike) Tust; son, Danny (Danielle) Bulemore; and her 4 grandchildren, Annabelle and Connor Tust, and Arianna and Cameron Bulemore.
