

Predeceased by parents Marianne Turner (née Langhorne) and Steven Turner, and step-father John Beaton. She is survived by brother Ian Turner, partner Vatche Jambazian, aunts Becky Roche (Rick), and Wendy Turner Penketh, and uncle Noel Langhorne (Anne), grandmothers Rachel Janzen and Jeanne Langhorne, and cousins Ryan, Laura, Vivienne, Alistair, Jessica, and Angela.
Meagan had a warm heart, keen intellect, and immense talent. She was a world-class musician with a unique blend of imagination, natural instinct, fiery spirit, and musical understanding. These traits led Meagan to study at the University of Toronto, The Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and Michigan State University. Meagan was in high demand for her services as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She enjoyed international success performing throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including in Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program through Carnegie Hall that attracts top young musicians from around the world. Meagan performed with the Toronto and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, the New York String Orchestra Seminar, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, among others.
An unwavering perfectionist, Meagan inspired and elevated others to achieve their best in all aspects of life. Meagan touched the lives and hearts of family, friends, and audiences worldwide, developing a connection that will be remembered eternally.
A celebration of her life will be held November 11th, 3pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, or your local orchestra or music education program.
