Michael was born on November 23, 1949 in Monroe, MI to Jack and Evelyn Morgan. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from Michigan State University. On September 11, 1976, he married Lydia Fordham, and together they raised two daughters, Laura and Melissa.
Michael was a long time member of Presbyterian Church of Okemos and a member of the Meridian Community Band. He enjoyed running, golfing, and studying history. He was a Camaro enthusiast and loved all things trains. He was generous in spirit and enthusiastic in all of his endeavors.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and mother, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife Lydia, daughters Laura and Melissa, son-in-law Christopher, sister Linda, and two grandchildren, Jack and Abby.
A public visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5-8pm at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home in East Lansing, MI. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 11am at the Presbyterian Church of Okemos.
