Michele Starr

Michele Starr was born on April 16, 1957 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of John and Eileen (Conway) Gibi, and passed away on November 9, 2015 at the age of 58. Michele graduated from Fairview High School in 1975 and later worked at BancSystems Association in Westlake, Ohio where she met her husband, Les. Michele was the life of the party and loved kids, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed bicycle trips, skiing, yoga and Tai Chi. She was preceded in death by her father, John Gibi; uncle, Fran Conway; cousins, Maureen Monin, Kelsie Monin; father-in-law, Edmund Starr; and brother-in-law, Zoltan Massanyi. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 27 years, Les; her mother, Eileen Gibi; siblings, Sara Celeste (Tom Patterson), John (AnnSue) Gibi, Siobhan (Mike) Olenick, Bill Gibi; nephew Joe (Katie) Gibi and their daughter Melanie; niece, Kelly Patterson; stepson, Jessie (Lynnette); mother-in-law, Josephine Starr; sister-in-law, Monica Massanyi; nephew, Dr. Eric (Colleen) Massanyi, brother-in-law, Brian (Debi) Starr and their children, Emily and Timmy. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 at St Martha’s Catholic Church, 1100 W. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, Michigan; with a visitation one hour prior to Mass. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, Michigan; with a Rosary at 7:00pm.
