Patricia Rae Finch was born on September 5, 1935 on a farm near Dysart, Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. degree in Human Ecology. She supported her children’s interest as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. Patricia was active in MSU’s Presidents Club and Cowles House Society, Lansing Symphony, American Red Cross, Homeowners Association, Walnut Hills Country Club where she served on various committees, the Inner Circle of Wharton Center, the University Club, and The Peoples Church of East Lansing where she ushered and served on the woman’s board.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gertrude Ellingson; husband’s, John Arthur Walker and Gerald M. Finch; and stepson, David Finch. She leaves behind her children, Lori Finch, John Arthur Walker II; stepchildren, Susan Mundell-Nelson and Nancy Croze; and granddaughter, Melissa Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at The Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823. Contributions may be made to The Peoples Church.
