Patricia Edwards Hamlin

Born December 24, 1945; Patricia Edwards Hamlin passed away October 10, 2010 at the age of 64. She was a 1963 graduate of Elmira Free Academy, Elmira, NY and of Syracuse University in 1967. She met the love of her life, Roger in 1968 and married him in 1969. She worked as a teacher with the Peace Corps in Chile from 1969-1970. Patricia resided in Syracuse, NY, Albany, NY, and Columbus, GA before moving to East Lansing, MI in 1974. She was an artist and worked with the Red Cedar School Parent Council for many years.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Arland and Florence Edwards, and her brother John Edwards. She is survived by her husband Roger; the two beautiful children she raised, Amanda and Eric Hamlin; her brothers, Robert (Karen) Edwards, and William Edwards; sister, Arlene Edwards; and four nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Lung Cancer Partnership, 222 N.
