Patricia Lee (Walker) Miller, 85, of Lansing, MI, passed away on April 15, 2020. She was born on November 2, 1934, to Bernice and Leland Walker, and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, graduating from Arthur Hill High School. She went on to follow her passion, as a teacher, graduating from Central Michigan University.
Family meant everything to Pat. She was a loving soul, who was cherished by her children, Brenda (Ted) Stockton, Maureen Miller, Dennis (Barbara) Miller, Brian Miller, Kathy (Dick) Liverance, and Tim (Cindy) Miller. As well, she was a loving and devoted mother-in-law, grandma/grammy and great-grandma. She is also survived by her brother, Al (Cathi), niece, Thea, and many relatives, to include cousins and her devoted friend and uncle, Bennie Allen. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, and infant son, Michael. She shared that some of her best memories were of her children surrounding her.
Pat dedicated her career to positively touching the lives of many children over numerous years as a teacher, and ParaPro, mostly in the Lansing School District. Pat was active in her community. She served as a choir member, founding Block Parent, and PTA member. She particularly loved holidays, and any excuse for a family gathering. Pat loved cooking for as many family members as she could at one time. These times were usually followed up by some type of game, especially cards. Her enthusiasm and passion for holidays was passed down to her children and grandchildren. As well, other passions included loving books and dogs!
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1:00pm followed by a reception at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., in East Lansing.
Pat will be buried alongside her parents, in Flushing, Michigan.
