Patricia Ann O'Malley

Patricia Ann O'Malley (Jones) passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 97 in East Lansing, Michigan. Born on October 31, 1927 in her grandparents' home in Lowell, Michigan to the late Paul and Doris Jones.

Patricia loved engaging with people! She was fascinated with God’s Creation and life in general! She wrote short stories and many poems that were often requested by those she encountered. She shared both herself and her poems freely. Patricia enjoyed the theater and often treated those she loved to join her at MSU’s Wharton Center to enjoy a performance! She retired from a long career at Michigan State University. Her life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew her as a devoted family member and a committed professional.

Patricia is survived by her loving sons, Daniel O'Malley (Judy) and Jeffrey O'Malley (Cherie); her grandchildren, Patrick, Tyler, Rachel, Christina, Mitchell, and Marshall; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Katelyn, Madison, and Nolan; and her siblings, Sandra McCaully (Ronald), Pamela Rousseau (James), and cousin Lois Heffron (Ronald), as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Doris Jones and her brother, John Jones.

Patricia will be laid to rest at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
