
Paul was a gentle, humble and kind man. He was a great neighbor, the type that you could count on. He was the manager of a telephone company and his staff would describe him as the best boss that anyone could have. He was very handy and was great at electrical work. He had many hobbies, which included playing the banjo, playing baseball, playing basketball and diving. Once, Paul saved June from drowning in the ocean and June’s brothers called him Saint Paul. Paul will be greatly missed by his friends and family.Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Bancroft Watterworth; brothers, Delor Westerby, James Westerby, Billy Westerby, Tommy Westerby; sister, Dorothea Wreesman. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, June; son, Dan (Sandra) Westford; daughter, Violeta Westford; and brother, Donald Westerby; brothers–in-law, Robin (Joan), Neil (Brenda) and Dennis Mullins.A visitation will be held on Monday, June 27th from 2:00–4:00pm and 6:00–8:00pm and also on Tuesday, June 28th from 2:00–4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 28th at White Chapel Cemetery with Robin Mullins officiating.
