

Born August 19, 1922 in Lansing, MI, Dick was the son of the late Fred and Mabel (Niblack) Hoskins.
Dick was a machinist at the Michigan State University for over 30 years. He loved restoring antique cars, traveling, having lunch with his friend, Raymond, and visiting with friends. His greatest joys were his dog, Buffy, and niece, Nancy Doughty.
He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army (102nd Infantry) during WWII from 1942 to 1946. On July 18, 1985 he was united in marriage to Luella Sutherland. They were married for 22 years before Luella preceded him in death on October 18, 2007.
Dick is survived by his two children, Barry (Debra) Hoskins, Black Diamond, WA and Dawn (Claude) Baekse, Dewitt, MI; three grandchildren, and Luella’s daughters, Linda (Ted) Hartman and Kathy Lietzke.
