Richard E. Miller

East Lansing

Born May 29, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan to George and Onalee Miller, passed away May 14, 2012 at the age of 82. Richard retired after 21 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean and Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He also retired from Leaseway after 21 years as a mechanic.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and son, Richard Eugene. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Liesel; daughter, Linda (Thom) Glasovatz; sons, William P. (Cindy) Miller, Michael Miller; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and sister, Helen Dillenbeck.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 17, 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 5589 Van Atta Rd, Haslett. Interment will take place with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
