Roy passed peacefully surrounded by his three children: Stephanie, Stacie, Scott and his daughter-in-law Christina.
Roy enjoyed fishing, painting, craft wood working and Miniature Metal Models.
He attended school in Bath, MI and served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 before working at The BWL. After retirement, Roy took a different path into truck driving. Hauling anything from wood, pies and bread. He loved to travel, everywhere and anywhere.
Roy is survived by his children: Stephanie, Stacie (Jeff) and Scott (Christina); grandchildren: Leighanne, Chelsea (Tyler), Dustin, Courtni, Cheyenne (Josh), Shauni, Abigail (Max) and Bryson; great grandchildren: Brooklynn, Victoria, Averi, Lincoln and Amelia. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Hamill (5-4-2014).
A graveside service for Roy will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 14410 Webster Rd, Bath, MI 48808.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy's name to Constellation Cat Cafe, 3320 E Lake Lansing Road, East Lansing, MI 48823.
A very special THANK YOU to Kayla, RN, for all your help, love and warmth in his final hours. We could not have done it without you and the staff of 2 North and Doctors that cared for him the last few years at Owosso Memorial.
