Ruth E. Turrentine

Ruth Elaine (Brower) Turrentine of East Lansing passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 61. Ruth is survived by her husband of 21 years, Otty Turrentine; daughter, Tracy Eytcheson; son, David Eytcheson ; grandchildren, Rachel and Ethan Eytcheson; siblings, Myrt Steenwyk, Nelson (Judy) Brower, Maurie Gabrielse, Bev (Nick) Leegwater, Randy (Karen) Brower and many nieces and nephews; her husband’s parents, Ottoway and Katie Turrentine, his three brothers and three sisters. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Bill Steenwyk; sister, Harlene Gabrielse.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at River Terrace Church, 1509 River Terrace Drive, East Lansing. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24 at 11:00 am at River Terrace Church.

Ruth loved cats, was a Spartan fan but also an intense Tigers fan. She was a great and loving mom. Her grandkids were her heart and soul. Ruth also liked to garden, she knew all about flowers and how to care for them. In memory of Ruth, contributions can be made to River Terrace Church, 1509 River Terrace, East Lansing, MI 48823.
