Theresa Ann Moore

“Terri” was born July 1, 1948 in Detroit, MI, grew up and graduated from Cooley High School. She married her high school sweetheart, David Moore. Together they raised a family of four active boys all of whom participated in many sports.

Terri loved being a full-time mother. However, as her sons grew older, she began working in the Detroit Public Schools as a remedial reading specialist. Then, for 4 years Terri and Dave owned and operated the Bed and Breakfast “Maple Cottage” at Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Later while living in Alabama and then back in Michigan she worked in the Home Health field. Most recently for nearly 13 years Terri worked at Peckham Industries, Inc. In this job her patience, wit and wonderful people skills made her greatly loved by co-workers and clients alike.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Robert Moore, of 51 years, her father Edwin Peter Kiss, her brother Donald Kiss, her in-laws Robert and Constance Moore, sister-in-law Sheila Lauer. She is survived by her mother, Mary O. Kiss, her sons: Jeffrey (Debra) Gardner Moore, Christopher (Gretchen) David Moore, Matthew Terrance Moore and Nicholas Charles Moore, her grandchildren: Whitney (David) Scott, Conner, Cameron, Lindsey, Isabelle Moore, and great-grandchildren: Jensen and Olivia Scott, Edwin David Moore, brother-in-laws Michael (Betty) Moore, Michael Lauer plus many nieces and nephews. Terri loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many people. It is an understatement to say that she will be sorely missed!

A Memorial Service is planned for January 15, 2022 from 1pm-5:00pm at the Residence Inn by Marriott, 2841 Hannah Blvd., E. Lansing. Lite refreshments will be available.
