Tony Barden

Anthony “Tony” Lee Barden passed away suddenly as the result of an accident on April 23, 2016 at the age of 24. Tony was born on Father’s Day, June 16, 1991 in Lansing, Mich. A graduate of Haslett High School, Tony was pursuing a degree in marketing. He was a natural athlete, excelling in basketball, baseball and golf, but his favorite sport was making people laugh. He loved people and spent every moment helping others enjoy life as much as he did. A charismatic personality, Tony enjoyed living life to the fullest every day. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Christopher (Brenda) Barden and Kim Upton; brother Aaron Barden, sisters Shelby Savage and Samantha Barden; grandmothers Margie Upton and Sharon Gillette; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, Mich. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, April 28th at the funeral home.
