Ada "June" Wood

She was born March 19, 1952 in Inglewood, CA to Elvis A. and Alma M. (Embry) Combs. She married Bruce E. Wood in West Plains, MO on June 28, 1974. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Tracy Wood of Tehachati, CA; one son, Timothy Wood of Peoria; four grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Oaks of Springfield, MO; one niece; one nephew; and loving mother and father in law, three brother in laws, and two sister in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter.

June was a Girl Scout leader, soccer mom, nail stylist, and loving grandmother.

Funeral Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services with burial of ashes at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
