She was born Jan. 9, 1919 in Rushville, IL to Nathan and Pearl (Moore) Winner. She married Leo Peckenpaugh. He preceded her in death. She later married John Volk. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; three daughters, Patsy Johnson, Barbara Bowers, Judith Hall; four sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Kay Taylor, Shirley Taghan; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Anna worked as the manager of the Laundry Department at OSF St. Francis and Proctor Hospital in Peoria before retiring. She loved spending time with her family and doing all kinds of crafts.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
