Archie Thomas Rowland Jr.

He was born December 18, 1947 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Archie and Adeline (Daniels) Rowland, Sr. He married Margaret Donovan on December 16, 1966 in Peoria. She survives along with three children: Alfie Rowland of East Peoria, Olivia (Kile) Axsom-Hardin of Mapleton, Andrew (Bryanna) Rowland of East Peoria; five grandchildren: Lamia, Sedona, Kaden, Walker, and Manny. He was also survived by two brothers: Rev. Jim (Dodi) Rowland, Roger Rowland and one sister, Sheree (Butch) Wasmund all of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch (Jean) Rowland and Adeline (Roland) Johns; one grandson, Seth Allen Hardin; and one brother, Ray Rowland.

Archie worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1998. Archie loved fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Bible Church at 601 N. Bellevue Blvd. Memphis, TN. 38107.
