Artrella May Taylor, 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on January 23, 1938 in Danvers, a daughter of Earl Alvin Allen and Eva (Bowman) Allen. Artrella married Lou Taylor on July 16, 1976 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2022 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Artrella is survived by her three children, Roy Miller of Germantown Hills, Vicky (Phil) Bell-Irwin of Kirkwood, Missouri, and Teresa (Buddy) Wood of Bartonville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Paulette Brinker of East Peoria.
She worked as a hand truck driver for Caterpillar, Inc. for 20 years, retiring in 1993.
Artrella was a member of the East Peoria First Church of the Nazarene.
Artrella’s family has arranged a memorial service at 11:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2024 at East Peoria Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in Stouts Grove Cemetery in rural Danvers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or East Peoria Church of the Nazarene.
