Born March 15, 1935 in Freeman Spur, IL to Benjamin F. and Elma L. (Newlon) Dunlap. He married Elizabeth Jane Cox and they were married for over 40 years. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wanda and Delores; and one brother, Hal.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary Hagan, Eleanor (Dusty) Lockhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Benjamin was a Korean War Army Veteran. He worked at Meyer Furnace in Peoria for over 40 years before retiring. He loved to travel, fish, camp, and play golf.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
