She was born in Pearl City, Illinois, on November 7, 1924 to Edwin and Vida Yeoman. They preceded her death.
Also preceding her in death is her son, Jim Kerr; and brother, Edwin Yeoman Jr.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Mayberry; her grandchildren, Shelley Mayberry-Pawlak, Michael (Tylin) Mayberry of TX, James Kerr, John Kerr, Jake Kerr, and Josh Kerr; her great-grandchildren, Alex (Samantha) Pawlak, Brenton (Brittany) Pawlak, Chelsea (Nick) Fontaine, Donica (David) Rogers, Gary Sweeney, Chloe Kerr, Aaron Kerr, Addyson Kerr, Brady Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Asher Kerr, and Giuseppe Kerr; and her great-great-grandchildren, Easton, Sophia, Hannah, Haylee, Savannah, Emma, Veronica, Graham, and Mason.
Betty worked for Furst-McNess in Quality Control for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, and was active in the church as long as she was able.
Betty had a talent and passion for sewing. She would often do craft shows with her daughter Marj, where she would sell her sewing, and Marj would sell her crochet and knitting. She loved to cook, and bake for others. Betty also loved animals.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral service will be held at Remmert Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at 5pm, with a visitation to start one hour prior, at 4pm.
