Charles Bryon Humphrey

He was born Feb. 25, 1939 in Peoria to Charles and Constance (Anthony) Humphrey. They precede him in death along with one infant son, Steven Scott Humphrey.

Survivors include four children: Charles Humphrey of Georgia, Angela Humphrey of Georgia, Amy (Jayson) Couri of East Peoria, Fredrick (Liza) Herchenbach of East Peoria, five grandchildren, one sister, Rita Fiessinger of California, and two brothers: Michael (Ruth) Humphrey of Missouri and Jim (Debbie) Humphrey of Washington, IL.

Charles worked for Chillicothe Metal in Rome until his retirement in 1994. He was a Navy Veteran serving from 1956 until 1960. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 1 in Peoria, lifetime member of the National Order of Trench Rats, Dugout 455 in Peoria, and a Lifetime member of the North Pekin AMVETS Post 169.

Funeral Services will be Monday Nov. 15, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria with Military Honors.
