Curtis W. Hale

He was born December 15, 1944 in Alto Pass, Illinois to David E. and Dorothy (Dunham) Hale. He married Dian Marsh. He later married Lori Fanning in 1970. They were married until she passed away in 2001. He later married Pat Kennedy on May 24, 2003. She survives.

Also surviving are 3 children, Valerie (Dave) Messer of Morton, Vince (Rebecca) Hale of Sahuarita, AZ, Tim (Erica) Kennedy of Morton; 9 grandchildren, Leah Messer, Adam Messer, Maggie Hale, Katie Hale, Emily Hale, Grace Hale, Kellan Kennedy, Carson Kennedy, Colten Kennedy; 1 brother and 2 sisters, David L. (Clara) Hale of Washington, Jeannie (Carl) Ridings of Metamora, Delores (Bud) Dhaese of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gail Kennedy; and 2 sisters, Mildred and Catherine.

Curt worked at Caterpillar Inc. as a boom operator retiring in 2000 with over 35 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 974. He was also a member of Creve Coeur Southern Baptist Church.

Curt always had a smile and a hug ready for everyone. He loved the Lord and his family and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Pastors Eric Dupree and Tom Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale.
