Dolores A. Massey

Born May 5, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Harold and Olga (Lovsin) Cordes; she married Willard C. “Red” Massey on February 27, 1954 in Eureka, IL. He preceded her in death as well as one son, Robin.

Surviving are her children, Micheal and Andrew Massey and Angela (James) Hamann; grandchildren, Drew Sims and Rihanna Hamann; brothers, Harold (Barb) Cordes, Jr, Mark (Linda) Cordes, and Ken (Lauren) Cordes; and her sister, Carolyn (Glenn) Bibb.

Dolores loved to crochet…everything such as articles of clothing, hand bags and crosses that she would give to families who were bereaved. She always wore one of her crocheted hats.

Among other things Dolores enjoyed were volunteering in the library at Glendale Grade School, yoga classes, crossword puzzles, caring for her many house plants and collecting dolls and angels.

She was a member of Fondulac Congregational Church.

A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation has been accorded.
