

He was born on June 23, 1932 in Keokuk, IA to Irven Charles and Gladys A. ( Watkins) Clemenson.
He married Delores M. Lecocq on March 9, 1951 in Pocahontas, AR. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Deanna Labuga.
Don is survived by one daughter, Debra (Don) Haedicke of East Peoria, one son, Daryl (Mary) Clemenson of Chillicothe, six grandchildren: Eric (Diane) Wattles, Andrew (Kristine) Redfield, Travis McBroom, Danelle Hull, Gene Labuga and Marcus Labuga. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jacob, Natalie and Ethan Wattles, Cecilia and Claire Redfield, Kurtis, Kameron, Naudia, Alexis, Leah, Scarlett, and Alice McBroom, and five great-grandchildren in California.
Don worked as a Planner for Caterpillar until retiring in 1987. In his spare time he was an avid golfer and enjoyed volunteering as an escort at UnityPoint Health Methodist for 20 years. Don also owned his own tax preparation business for many years. During his sons youth he enjoyed being a baseball coach for 6 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Ed Newlan will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria.
