Donald L. Hall

Born July 15, 1933 in Shadyside, OH to Melvin and Edna (Manning) Hall. They preceded him in death. He married W. Susan Lanum in 1958. She preceded him in death in 2006.

Surviving are four children, Kevin Hall of FL, Stacy (Kevin) Roberts of Morton, Karen (Scott) Whitehurst of East Peoria, Stephanie (fiancé, Troy Sams) Lewellen, of East Peoria; ten grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Hannah, Sarah Roberts, Christina, Kayla, Casondra Shaw, Toby Lewellen, Alyssa (Matt) Lewellen-Hudgins and Aubrey Hall; one great-grandson, Jaxson Lee Hudgins; two brothers, Jim (Loni) Hall, Roger (Pat) Hall; and his beloved dog and cat, Smokey and the Bandit.

Donald worked as a systems analyst and pilot, retiring as Vice President of Global Fire Equipment in Washington. He served as a Captain with the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Wheel’n Dealers. He was also a member of the Washington RC Flyers, and loved to travel in his RV.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Pastor Doug Habegger officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
