Edward D. Needham

He was born July 2, 1931 in Milan, TN to Thomas J. and Faustine (King) Needham. He married Lillian Mangold on May 30, 1953 in Peoria. She passed away March 14, 2002 in East Peoria. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, and one granddaughter, Katherine Needham.

Survivors include four children: Chuck, Richard, Deena, and Lisa, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Barbara (Irwin) Birdsell of Tennessee.

Ed was a United States Army Veteran. He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. For 41 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of the UAW 974.

He was also a member of Bay View Baptist Church in Washington, IL and the church’s Goodtimers Club.

Funeral services will be Monday March 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Bay View Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Thibo will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
