Francee Brummitt

Born August 22, 1921 near El Paso, Illinois to Harvey and Winnie (Hasty) Wingstirn; she married Milton W. Brummitt on July 22, 1945 in Long Beach, California and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1987.

Surviving are her children, Sylvia (Rod) Roehnelt of Whidbey Island, Washington, Milt (Lois) and Kevin (Janie) Brummitt, all of East Peoria; her daughter-in-law, Barb Brummitt; grandchildren, Bill(Diane), Jim (Becci), Jeremy, Kevin (Mary), Brian (Cheryl), Dan (Michele) Brummitt, Ryan (Christine) and Sean (Janet) Roehnelt, Tonya (Ron) Krus, Kerri (Jamie) Sommers and Jen (Tim Defebaugh) Brummitt-Defebaugh, and Jason Randolph; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Also preceding in death were her son, Bill Brummitt; sister, Viola Wertz; brother, Jim Hasty; and great grandson, Nick Krus.

Francee loved the Chicago Cubs and was thrilled to see them win the 2016 World Series. She loved flowers and gardening and tended her own greenhouse. Most of all, Francee loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, October 5th at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude, the American Diabetes Association or to the Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation.
