Harry M. Wakeman

He was born December 2, 1925 in Dana, IL to Harry Mason and Kathleen (Ewen) Wakeman. He married Marjorie Smith April 16, 1950 in East Peoria.

Harry was a manager at Beneficial Finance Company. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Methodist Church in East Peoria.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie, son Steven Wakeman of Peoria; Grandsons, Derek S. (Jennifer Koronkowski) Wakeman of Rochester, NY and Dustin R. Wakeman of Sacramento, CA; great-grandchildren, Connor, Bryce and Riley Wakeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Peryle Brackett and Harriet Cannon and daughter-in- law, Kathy D. Wakeman.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home. Visitation will be held a ½ hour prior to the service. Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate.
