Jeffrey Jay Lightbody

He was born on June 29, 1959 in Peoria, IL to Robert O. and Lucy D. (Hawkins) Lightbody. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving are his father, Robert of Peoria, two brothers, Ron (Chris) Lightbody of Peoria, Mike Lightbody of Pekin, two sisters, Vickie Walker and Sherrie Williams both of Peoria, six nephews and one Niece.

Jeff served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Key West Florida where he enjoyed watching the Miami Dolphins and Key Lime Pie. He worked as a Front Clerk at Kroger’s for six years until becoming ill. He enjoyed fishing and Demolition Derby’s.

A service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 am at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
