Jim Franklin

He was born on January 27, 1949 in Meridian, Mississippi to Curtis and Dorothy (Williams) Franklin.

He married Cindy Franklin in 1986 and she preceded him in death in 2009.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Dorothy Jean, Bill, Kenny and Pauline.

Jim is survived by his children, Barbara Franklin of East Peoria, James Franklin of Sunnyland, and Niesha Frankin of East Peoria; grandchildren, Makayla Franklin and Kross Charles Brown; sister, Debbie (Jeffry) Coatney of Pekin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jim was a musician and enjoyed playing with his band, Easy Living in the East Peoria area. He was a good man with a good heart and he will be missed by many.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at later date. Details will be announced.
