June Burton

   Born Jan. 25th, 1927 in Peoria, IL to Daniel Ferdinand and Velma (Thomas) McGrane.  Her husband, Bob, preceded her in death in 1975.  She is survived by her sister Mildred Kupferschmid of East Peoria, her two sons, Thomas of Chatsworth, California and Robert of Toronto, Ontario, and four grandchildren, Tyler, Clayton, Chloe, and Leo.

   June and husband Bob ran Chick’s, a popular East Peoria eatery for many years before Bob’s passing. She was an active member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in East Peoria and worked as an administrative assistant at Uftring Chevrolet in Washington, IL before moving to California to be near her sons in 1989.

   Graveside services will be at 11am, Saturday Aug. 18, 2012 at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.  Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
