Lucille Pugh Lipe

She was born July 5, 1922 in Southern, IL to George and Anna (Schimpf) Pugh. She married C. Lavern Lipe in Perryville, MO on May 29, 1940. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Surviving are her son, Gregory (Hilda) of Washington; 4 daughters, Patricia (Richard) Lewey of Peoria, Sandra Rourke of Chatham, Pamela Sue (Don) Lipe-Johnson of St. Paul, MN, Jenifer (fiancé Randy) Lipe of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Lucille loved to square dance, garden, and spend time with her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of East Peoria.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with her son in law, Don Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to her church, Diabetes Foundation, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
