Matilda "Tillie" Graham

She was born August 28, 1951 in Clarksville, Mississippi to Lucille Dudley. She was raised by her grandparents, George and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Curtis. They preceded her in death along with one sister, Debra Johnson, and one brother, Bernard Dudley. Tillie also was preceded in death by one son, Derrick Daugherty Sr., who died in 2020, and one step-son, Loy "Butch" Graham, who died in December 2023. She was a proud and dedicated wife and mother during her life.

She married Loy Graham on May 24, 2014 in Peoria. He survives along with one sister, Laura K Davis of Country Club Hills, IL, one daughter-in-law, Molly Recar of East Peoria, two grandchildren: Derrick Daugherty, Jr and Brock Daugherty both of East Peoria, seven step-children: Connie Schiele, Dina Graham, Brad Graham, Shari Graham, Sam Smith, Amy Smith, Josh Goss, and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Tillie retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after working there for 30 years.

She was a member of Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria. Over the years Tillie sang in several churches.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
