Oh Melissa I didnt know you long but you were kind and funny with a warm glow about you that i loved instantly even though you were still in pain and suffering with the issues from your toboggan  ride. I just heard this rumour that you left us for a better place,I was hoping that thats just what is was a rumour I been dead that way more times than a cat,My thoughts and feelings for your family and till we meet again Melissa,hope your the angel pleading my case ,miss your radiance and proud to say you are my friend

I dont know where to start. Remeber in grade school you were always wanting to cook cookies with my mom. I was always like noooo but i wouldnt give those days up  for anything .i hate we drifted away in are adult years . But for you know when we talk it was great . Well now you and my mom can cook cookies anytime you want.rest in peace

You made people feel happy around you! Sisters share a bond and that we had, a bond of being there whenever the other needed it. You are with Mom and Dad now Melissa, I charish forever the 41 years here on this earth we had with you. Your soul is free now Melissa no more pain no more sorrow. Where do I start? You are going to be missed so greatly by alot of people.
Your beautiful soul will soar high.
We all know you are at peace now and what a wonderful feeling that is for you.
The world is a little sadder without you in it. You were a poet and always had the words to write. Your drawings were nothing short of brilliant. 
I will cherish all the times we had together. Especially the month you spent with me in 2010 .. oh what a time it was. The laughter was over abundant. When I think of you I will always smile and remember something funny you said or did. Playing eye spy with my little eye with B. Yes she remembers. She still has your drawing of her name on her bedroom door all these yrs later. We are going to frame it. :)
I think back all those yrs ago when I walked into the Carter Family. The time you got hit by a car, the time you broke your leg sledding..I'm pretty sure you were trying to see which one of us between your mom and me would get the most gray hair first.
How your twin Michelle would always translate for us what exactly you were saying...
There are just so many memories that I will cherish.
You rest now little sister. Watch over all of us, as I know you already are.

I miss you and love you with all of my heart. I will never forget any of the great memories I have of us throughout my whole life. You have known me since I was a baby along with your sisters. I hope that your beautiful soul and amazing spirit are no longer in any pain. I can't wait until the day I get to see you again so we can laugh together and goof around again.  You and your sisters were always like big sisters to me and you taught me the most about a lot of things in life when I was younger.
