Mike “Monkey” enjoyed being around people and helping out if he could. He loved live music festivals, Chicago Bears, and traveling randomly. He also loved joking around. He went to East Peoria High School where he participated in Track and Field, wrestling, and football. He loved being the class clown and making people laugh. You didn’t cross paths with him and not have a lasting impression of him.
Monkey will be missed not only as a friend but also as a son, brother, and an uncle.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Monkey’s life will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Folepi’s Building, 2200 E Washington St., East Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
