Nettie E Houston

She was born November 7, 1926 in Wildersville, TN to John Buck and Mary (Reed) Johnson.She married Raymond Houston in 1952 in Parsons, TN. He preceded her in death in 1984 in East Peoria. Her parents, two brothers, Thomas and Nathan, two sisters Beela and Buehla Mae and one nephew, Randy also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her three children, Tommy Houston of Peoria, Kimberly (Jan Young) Houston of Aurora, CO and Pam Houston of East Peoria, one brother, Chester (Nellie) Johnson of Wildersville, TN, two sisters-in-law, Virginia Johnson of Lexington, TN and Addie Beth Johnson of Mississippi and many loving nieces and nephews.

Nettie worked as a waitress for over 35 years at Steak and Shake in East Peoria before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church and was an active volunteer at P.A.R.C.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
