Peggy E Taylor

She was born March 14, 1948 in Peoria to Willis and Christine (Rentsch) Behrens. She married Ronald “Roonie” Taylor on May 5, 1967 in Creve Coeur. He passed away December 1, 2020 in East Peoria. She is also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Mindy (John) Brooks of Pekin, one son, Jason (Rachael) Taylor of Des Plaines, IL, two granddaughters: Taylor and Zoe Brooks both of Pekin, one sister, Linda Ingrassi of Phoenix, AZ, and one brother, Richard (Donna) Behrens of Wesley Chapel, FL.

Peggy was a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Creve Coeur and enjoyed volunteering at the PKD Association.

Peggy was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She always gave people compliments and would strike up a conversation with strangers wherever she was.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Private family entombment will be Friday December 5, 2025 in Swan Lake Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family would like to invite everyone coming to the visitation to bring a toy for the Toys For Tots program the funeral home is participating in.

Peggy was always generous with donations to various organizations. So in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local animal shelter or your local food bank.
