Richard Lee "Dick" Johnson

He was born Jan. 15, 1947 in Peoria to Richard and Nona (McElderry) Johnson. He married Sharon Boundy on Feb. 6, 1971 in East Peoria. She passed away Feb. 7, 2014 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Diana Lenover.

Survivors include three children: Richard Johnson, Monica Johnson, and Robert Johnson all of Pekin, two sisters: Nancy (Antony Ranallo) Strouse of LaRose, Shirley Strouse of Washington, IL, a brother in law and sister in law, Patrick and Beverly Soellinger of Lake Geneva, WI, and brother in law, Clifford Lenover of Washington, IL.

Dick was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his time in the Military he worked for Caterpillar, Inc. at the Morton plant for 35 years as a Line Operator retiring in 2004. He was a longtime member of Averyville Baptist Church in East Peoria.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Rev. David Coyle will officiate.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria with Military Honors.
