Richard "Dick" A. Monti

He was born on February 1, 1937 in Pekin, IL to Armando and Mary Monti. He married Linda Baird on June 9, 1962 in Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Lisa Monti.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Monti of Peoria, three daughters, Theresa (Larrie) Counterman of Pekin, Michelle (Dan) Mabis of Lansing, MI and Christine (Michael) Boisclair of South Carolina. Also surviving are five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Vaughn (Rosie) Monti of Creve Coeur and one sister, Gwynn (Bill) Gilson of Hanna City, IL.

Dick served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Electrician with the IBEW Local 34 for over 40 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Italian-American Society and enjoyed traveling, photography and was a Riverman Hockey Fan.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 3 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dave Wilder will officiate. Burial of the urn will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
