East Peoria – Robert P. “Big Bob” Rodemich, 72, of Peoria, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 8:37 a.m. at Sharon Healthcare Willows in Peoria. He was born March 11, 1947 in Peoria, a son of Jacob F. and Fern B. (Little) Rodemich.
Big Bob is survived by his four children, Angela Burnside of Washington, Tony Rodemich of California, Tanya Noone of Colorado, and Nathan (Theresa) Robertson of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janice Paul of Marquette Heights, Juanita (Gerry) Sill of Lewistown, and Lynne Brunkow of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jacob “Tad”; and one brother, Walter Rodemich.
Big Bob worked in sales and dispatch for Lynch Aluminum in Peoria for many years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Mackinaw Valley Long Rifle Association, and the North Pekin Church of the Nazarene.
Big Bob’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
