I do not believe I knew Bob, but I do think brother Dan and I were in high school together.  As I recall, Dan, you were in EPCHS class of 1970 or 1971 and I played bass clarinet with you in band, along with Dave Crumley.  Not sure you will recall me (class of 1973), but upper classmen always make more of an impression on the younger folks.  If Bob was anything like you Dan, he was a wonderful man, kind, and caring. I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with Bob for years at Holiday Inn on brandywine drive and bob always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He had a wonderful and catching laugh that could be heard wherever he went. My deepest sympathies to his family. Bob will be greatly missed. susan bennett

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's sudden passing. 
I am currently home recovering recovering from a major surgery, and sadly couldn't make it to his funeral. 
Bob was a great friend who kept in touch, checking on my well being during my recovery. Rest in Peace my good friend, and may God give his family strength in these difficult times.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Bob.  I went to school with Bob from junior high through high school.  Bob was a genuine person.  He always got along with everyone.  My thoughts are with Bob's entire family.

There are so many nice things said here about Robert/Bob, not because nice things sound nice, but because the things said are true reflections of what knowing Bob was like.  It felt good to read though these and say to myself  "Yeah that's him alright"  Growing up together in East Peoria and sharing the same resort destination every summer for CAT vacation, which was really a small farm in East Tennessee, created a connection that never ended.   Now for a time, by God's sovereign choosing we part company for a time but not forever.   It was an honor to know Robert as a CUZ and a friend till I see him again someday.

To A very very special man, that came across me in a hard time in my life . He always made me laugh smile always offered a lending hand to help me as a single parent. I could call say Bob can you help me with you and your truck and he would always say Sure but it will cost you !! HAHA I have some very awesome awesome memories of Bob that I can cherish forever, I am very sad for his family because you lost a son and brother to quick I will always have a place for a peice of Bob in my heart forever Love ya Bob

I was really shocked to hear of Bob's death - he was a great guy to work with and will be sadly missed. I just can not believe he is gone - may God bless the family at the time of his loss - I am very sorry - I am glad I got to work with and around him.

Uncle Bob affected the course of my life to an extent I may never fully realize. His generosity let me travel and discover life on the other side of the ocean. Who can say where I would be today if it weren't for Uncle Bob? 

I'll never forget his face at my wedding, having left his luggage at the airport and ran all the way to the church to stand in for family until the rest of you could make it on the next flight!

He'd done so much for me, and yet he'd still try to pick up the check at the end of a meal. He was the kind of guy who would sleep on the floor just so everyone else would be more comfortable. I wish I'd had more time to return to him more of the gratitude that I feel.

Goodbye, dear Uncle, and God bid thee well.

I'm so saddened by the loss of a high school friend and really great guy. He was one of the best.

I can not even begin to say how sorry I am for your loss! But I know Robert is in a wonderful place filled with glory and grace! For sure by now he has ran into my mother and she will help show him around and look out for him just as your family has done for me all of these years! I love you all!

My Mother, (Dimpsie Potter, Sweetwater, TN) is a sister to Robert's Mom. Recently, mother suffered a stroke, and who called to check on Mother.....Robert.  He loved his Aunt Dimpsie, and called my brother, Rick, several times to check on her. That was our Robert, so caring, so thoughtful, and so kind.  My love, and prayers for Uncle J.D., and Aunt Velma, and Robert's two brothers, Danny and Gary, and sister Cathy and their families.  We will miss Robert's sweet smile......this is not good-bye, just "so-long cousin" till we meet again.

Robert has met Jesus face to face,

Well here's one last "Yo Bob" from the "Okie"! Always enjoyed our talks about Spartan and Tulsa. I certainly enjoyed working with Bob here at Delta. He always had a joke to tell and kept me laughing. He will be missed! May God comfort the Street family.

A great friend. A great confidant. Bob was the first person I would think of when I wanted to cut loose and have some fun. A hard working good man that loved to laugh alonside good friends and family. Some of my best memories in life have images of Bob in them. From eating hot wings after work to lounging beside the pool in Cancun.  The times were always better when Bob was around. I'll miss your friendship dearly Bob!

Bob was a wonderful friend and good man.  I could never have asked for someone more genuine than him.  He lived with my brother and I for numerous years and he was like another brother to me.  I will miss his sweet smile and mischievious laugh that he had.  I have many fond memories of Bob and will hang onto them forever.  

I hope you guys can find some peace throughout this tough time. Keeping you in my prayers.

"Heartbroken" is the one word that defines the way I feel. There are very few people that God placed on this earth that I can honestly say I have met who are as honest and sincere as Bob was. He was a fantastic example for us all and I will never forget him. Both of my Children look to Bob as an Uncle rather than a close family friend. We will forever remember the vacations that Bob joined our family on, the beach, lake, ballgames, concerts and many backyard BBQ's. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Street family. I can't remember my uncle Bob ever saying anything bad about anyone. If he did, I'm sure he also pointed out thier good side. He was the sweetest and humblest of men. I loved his laugh and his silly grin. I wish I could be more like him.

JUst wanted the Street family know that Bob was good friend to me down here in Georgia.  After I was left with paralysis in my left hand after a stroke ten years ago. I could always count on Bob for help with a phonecall.  His  frienship will be deerly missed. God bless to all the Street family..Warren ward

Sherri and I were very sad to hear of Bob's passing.  When Bob passed I lost what I call a friend for life.  Most of us don't have too many friends like him.  I only wish I could have spent more time with him as we were growing older, but that is what distance will do. I was very greatful that Bob was able to attend my 50th BD party recently.  The thought never crossed my mind that it would be the last time I would see him.  I wish I had signed on to facebook sooner now.  I do have many great memories of Bob. We worked together and played together and always had fun.  He was a great person that I always got along with.  When I was in basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas in 1981 I was standing  across the street from where all the churches were on a sunday afternoon smoking a cigarette.  Going to church on sunday(if they let you) was a good thing to do, but it also gave you a chance to light up with out anyone yelling and screaming in your face.  That sunday a guy standing next to me said " hi, how's it goin".  I thought I recognized the voice.  I said "ok I guess".  Then we both looked at each other.  He said "Mike!".  I said "Bob!"  It was Bob Street, who I had worked with for the last 2 or 3 years.  We both laughed.  I didn't know he was going to be there when I was, but he started his basic sooner than he had thought.  We looked a lot different wearing all that green and having all our hair cut off, so we hardly knew each other. Anyway, it was great meeting up with him then and it will be great meeting up with him again in heaven!
